Recommended for golfers who: Don't mind a real test from
a great layout...
Memorable layout combines beauty, danger, and
ranked among nation's best…
Long picked
as the crowd favorite in Atlanta, Cobblestone is one of
Atlanta's two or three best daily fee courses and has been
ranked among the top 100 in the Nation. The rolling
topography, interesting mounding and use of long grasses to
define the edges of the course, provide plenty of challenges
from the first tee shot to the final putt. Not an
exceptionally long course from the middle tees, although
there are a few very stout par 4s.
Accuracy off the tee and a deft short game are a must, as
many of the terraced greens feature
deep bunkers and surrounding mounds. There are a number of
truly exceptional holes.
Cobblestone is considered to be one of the toughest daily
fee courses in the metro area, but can be tamed if you
drive it solidly and know where to miss it and where not to.
Consistently in quality condition despite high volume of
play.

Still the best value in the area with a friendly and
knowledgeable staff. This course gets lots of single
players and no where that I have played do they take better
care of the walk-ins then Cobblestone. The course is always
in good shape, and considering the number of players on any
given day the marshals keep the pace moving real well. I
would recommend to any visitor to give
it a go. You won't be disappointed!.

Excellent course and good value for the money. Conditions
were fine as was the service!
Bill Fowler / Acworth
One of the most challenging courses in the Atlanta area.
With its rolling hills and layout, it is a course for all
player levels, yet challenging enough for the low
handicapper.

This course is #1 request of visiting friends/family of
mine. Challenging for the most part, but enjoyable for all.
A Beautifully laid out course amidst the Georgia pines
although most fairways
are bordered closely by mother nature herself...so hit it
straight!

A very nice county-owned and managed course, with a tight
layout and many holes that require a good tee shot to clear
immediate trouble and hit the initial landing zone. Will
challenge the average golfer for sure, and even offers a
good round of comopetition for the above average player as
well.

Great course, don't get any better for a public course.
Must be straight with driver. Accuracy with approach shots a
must if you want to score. Staff and players friendly. Not a
problem for a single. A very nice golf experience!

I have played several others but still think this is the
best daily fee course in the area for service and cost. The
staff are professional and great for single golfers (like
myself) because they keep thing moving and inform you of
your status on the waiting list.

One of the most challenging courses in Ga. The staff will
make your experience rival
any large Resort course. Built around a beautiful lake
you'll experience picturesque
holes. Each more beautiful than the next! This is a course
you must play if you are
in the Atlanta area.

By far one of the nicest and most difficult courses in Metro
area! Although not very
long, tight fairways prove unforgiving of an errant tee
shot. Built on Lake Acworth,
water comes into play
on several Par 3's and 4's. Playing
this golf course often will
make other courses seem very 'open'. If you can play solid
at this course, you can
play most any course in Metro Atlanta.

I've played some of the best courses in the world, and my
round was certainly one
of my most memorable. Tees were a little soggy from rain,
but the greens were in
beautiful shape. This
course gets my vote for the most
scenic course in the Metro
area.

This is a public course with a large number of regulars
which gives it a country club feel. Hackers should stay
away though because this course is narrow and will eat you
up!
Ken Rickert / Atlanta
A spectacular setup, with at least 8 holes along a
picturesque lake. This course is extremely challenging from
the blue tees almost unfair from the tips. The course
would be one of the top courses in the state, except it gets
to much play. lot of play. Every out-of-town guest falls in
love with the course.

Great couse!! Accuracy off the tee is a must to score well
here. It's located in a beautiful setting with a bunch of
water holes on both the front and back 9. The price to play
is terrific for the caliber of course. I definitely
recommend it!! |
