Fox Creek Golf Club Course Review

Two excellent side-by-side executive courses, both municipally owned. Fox Creek is a par 61 with some solid par 4s, several challenging par 3s and smallish greens that bring the short game into play. Legacy Golf Links is a par 58 with all the holes in the short-to-medium category. More of a modern design, with the ample greens comparable to those at top daily fee layouts. Both also have first class practice facilities and the courses are popular with women, juniors and novice golfers.

Named as one of the Top Ten Best Practice Facilities in the United States by Sports Illustrated Magazine! Legacy and Fox Creek offer Atlanta’s best place to practice all aspects of your golf game. The combined facilities feature over 100 all natural grass range tees in addition to well appointed short game practice areas which include large bent grass putting greens and multiple chipping areas. The Golf Academy of Atlanta
provides golf instruction to golfers of all ability levels seven days a week. In addition to individual instruction, the academy offers golf schools, and group clinics throughout the year.

Legacy Golf Links is a par 58 with all the holes in the short-to-medium category. There is some water along the way, with a few of the short par 4s requiring some precision to avoid danger. More of a modern design, with the ample greens comparable to those at top daily fee layouts. Both are popular with women, juniors and novice golfers, as well as those looking to play a quick 18.

Both feature first-class practice facilities and top instructors that make the two among the most popular spots in all of Atlanta to work on your game. Fox Creek’s range is lighted, with the Legacy one of the area’s most family-friendly operations with an 18-hole putting course.

  1. It was a last minute sort of thing on a Friday afternoon and I only had 3 hours. Wow! What a great little course in excellent shape. The mix of par 4s and 3s is great. I felt like I was at a much longer course, almost a championship course rather than an executive course. The location is fantastic; so close to town and the setting quite picturesque. I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to play close in to town and has only a few hours. Great place to take a business client.
The pricing is also quite reasonable.

  2. Short course that is good for beginners or those who are trying to work on their short game. The longest par 4 is only 360 yards and par for the course is 61. You can complete this course in about 3 hours

  3. Very nice course, but sometimes slow play on weekends. Challenging and well maintained for a public course.

  4. Good course for short game, but felt it was too short if your looking to get the most out of your Driver. Fairways invite you to practice your precision shots

  5. I found it to be an interesting exectuve course. Well maintained, with smooth rolling greens. However, the place was very busy on the weekends. It would make a great last minute weekday round

  6. You get your money’s worth at the driving range. A really large bucket of balls cost $10.00 which can be enough. The practice putting green is well maintained and offers long putting opportunities. Plus the staff is very friendly. Be sure to ask for Shawn.

  7. Nicely maintained for a short course. The greens are kept well. Wide open and good for entertaining during the week. I’d definitely recommend it.

  8. This is a good course at a good price for a beginner. My friends and I recently graduated from par 3 golf courses and are beginning to sample longer courses. The right amount of frustration and fun with fast greens.

  9. played Fox Creek again a couple of weeks ago, and found the course to be in terrific condition.
I look forward to playing there again. We played 27 holes in less than 4 hours – it’s fast and fun!

  10. Recently played at Legacy and found that bunkers that had been without sand for some time have now been filled in are in much better shape. I appreciate that. Also Fox Creek and Legacy have started a frequent users card where after I think it’s 5 rounds, you get the next one free. I think this is a great idea
