Centennial Golf Club Course Review

Since it opened a decade ago, the Larry Nelson design has consistently been rated among Atlanta’s best public courses. Centennial is a layout that requires thought and precision over raw power, with Mean Creek meandering through the fairway on four of the five first holes and some significant elevation changes that provide both beauty and challenge. The watery, par-4 18th is one of Atlanta’sfinest finishing holes, and caps one of the strongest trio o finishing holes around.

The Larry Nelson layout has been an area favorite since it opened more than a decade ago. Requires more thought and precision than power, with Mean Creek meandering through the fairway on four of the five first holes and requiring some strategic decisions. Several significant elevation changes provide both beauty and challenge, with the course ranking somewhere in the middle among area daily fee layouts in terms of difficulty. Tests all areas of your game without an overemphasis on any facet, with relatively ample fairways and mounded greens that are modestly bunkered. Watery, par-4 18th is one of Atlanta’s finest finishing holes, and caps strong closing trio.
