Orchard Hills Golf Club Course Review

Quality conditions, layout… One of the southside’s most popular layouts since it opened in the early ’90s, the course combines a convenient location along with consistently outstanding conditions and a distinctive layout with a Scottish feel. A newer nine is more of the tree-lined variety, with the original 18 more open with a reasonable amount of length.
With wide, mostly level fairways and large, modestly guarded greens, original 18 invites you to give it a rip off the tee and shoot at the flags. With some strong par 4s along the way, length is a factor, but width of fairways helps offset distance. There are a number of appealing par 3s on all three nines requiring some modest carries over trouble. Overall, one of area’s most enjoyable courses.
