One of Atlanta’s newer and most popular daily fee layouts. Fred Couples was a design consultant, but you don’t have to hit the ball like him to have success, although there are a few holes where length is a definite asset. Overall, it is one of the area’s tougher tracks, with several holes that would merit inclusion on Atlanta’s most difficult 18. The 18th is a memorable finishing hole.

Among area’s best, toughest, most scenic…Hamilton Mill Golf Course has been ranked as one of Atlanta’s top daily fee courses since it opened in the mid-’90s. Designed by former Jack Nicklaus associate Gene Bates with consulting help from Fred Couples, the course is among the area’s toughest and most scenic, with some of the hilliest terrain in the metro area. A strength of the layout is its variety, as is the five-tee setup which provides realistic options for players who occasionally have to choose between sets of tees that are either too long or too short. You don’t have to hit it as long as Couples to handle the diverse layout, but at times length off the tee is a definite asset. The variety of the design includes several of Atlanta’s most demanding holes, as well as some of the friendliest. With mostly generous fairways, it is more of a second shot course, with large, rolling greens among area’s best and toughest to putt.

  1. What a terrific course. Very scenic and full of excitement. I loved
the elevation changes. Will definitely come play again when I

  2. Great course. a little hilly with narrow fairways will present a challenge for even the most experienced golfers. Nice range,
    chipping and putting greens

  3. I enjoyed playing this course tremendously, but would not have played it again if they had continued the cart path only policy.
Now that they have resented that policy, I’ll be back to try it
