Georgia National Golf Club Course Review

Among finest courses south of the city, featuring a strong group of par-4s and a solid overall layout that provides one of the best tests of golf in all of the metro area. The length of the course is offset by ample room to drive the ball, and the consistently excellent course condition- ing and quality of the layout ensures an enjoyable experience.

One of the stronger layouts in the metro Atlanta’s area, the Denis Griffiths layout has its share of length, with seven of the 11 par 4s averaging around 435 yards from the back tees and 400 from the next set. Four sets of tees enable the golfer to play from tees best suited to their skill level. Two of the three Par 5’s require some well positioned shots to avoid an array of bunkers, with the 18th a good finishing hole thanks to a pond which makes a touchy second shot.

The Par 3’s all feature pin positions that can be difficult to reach. The greens complexes are relatively gentle, with most of them wider than they are deep. The course has enjoyed a positive reputation for its conditioning, and is among the most pastoral in the metro area, with some of the gentlest terrain around. Georgia National is an enjoyable day of golf for all players.
