Trophy Club Of Apalachee Course Review
A Course that measures 6,620 yards from the gold tees and 6,210 from the blues is considered on the short side by modern standards, but don’t be deceived by the yardage. With five par 3s, it plays to a par of 71, and the back nine is all the course you want, with seven extremely strong holes. The front is significantly shorter and tighter, with some excellent scoring opportunities but also potential trouble.
The shorter but more interesting from nine includes a pair of short pars 4, one of which is within range off the tee for big hitters willing to risk a smallish target, and one of the metro area’s most reachable par 5s, which also includes a high degree of risk on both the tee shot and second. Take advantage of the scoring opportunities as they arise on the front, because you can expect a battle just to have a chance to make par on most of the holes coming in. A worthwhile and underrated test
With several carries over wetlands areas required, the par 3s are among the strongest in Atlanta. The majority of the par 4s are on the lengthy side, but are relatively open with only one, the scenic but perilous fifth, including a serious hazard. Moderately hilly terrain adds to the challenge, but the greens complexes are not overly demanding, although the par 3s are well-protected. Owned and operated by American Golf.
